Today we have been making courgette chutney.
Two kilos of harvested courgettes were waiting for us in the fridge.
which we have turned into eight jars of courgette chutney. We have never made chutney before, but I think it is the first of many such sessions! The jars are cooling and I look forward to seeing how it tastes.
We also harvested our first crop of broad beans, which were awaiting us with fat juicy pods. They were picked, podded, blanched and bagged before going straight into the freezer. Hmm, that frees up a patch of earth in the garden…
