First Cucumber

This weekend we picked our first cucumber, which tasted beautifully sweet. We also harvested the first of the chard, and the stems and leaves were wonderful tossed into a stirfry, full of flavour and colour. We speculatively pulled up the first bulb of garlic too, to use green. The bulb was not huge, so we shall leave the rest in the ground longer, but the taste was sweet and mild.
