    • Thanks – our soil is clay on limestone, our hilltop position does mean we drain off better than some but we can still become waterlogged. I only planted the eryngium this summer, so it may not last a wet winter, we shall see…

    • This one was leaning a little from the blast of the recent winds, so there is a short stake in amongst it. I think next year I’ll stake it gently too; if it survives, and I remember.

    • I am loving this one so far, also have Miss Wilmott’s Ghost and Silver Ghost in the garden, both of which should flower next year. I like the look of the bourgatii varieties too for their colour, but I’m not familiar with the idiosyncrasies of any of them yet.
