Merry Christmas

Wishing a very merry Christmas to you all.

Amid the festive cheer, the ruddy faces before the fire, the scents of pine needles and spices, release all sorrow and seize the love and laughter that fills the air. Enjoy every moment spent with loved ones, and remember those who cannot be there, whether separated by distance or time, with joy.

  1. Happy Christmas to you!

Re. the scent of pine – I tried warming a few pine-needles from our tree on a dish on the top of our gas cooker. They over-heated and started to ping about all over the place. It was not a success!

    Best wishes

    • Mmm indeed, the spices of making mincemeat, mulling wine and fresh oranges – and this year we’re also enjoying warm apple juice with Winter Pimms, mmm…
      Merry Christmas to you.

  2. Lovely image of christmas lights or even cat’s eyes!

Christmas is also the smell of paraffin heaters – when we were young and not so easy under the frozen apple bough. Pardon the Dylan Thomasing but Hillwards brings out the Welsh in me. Hope you had a very Happy Christmas Sara and wishing you all the best for the New Year.
