I did a double take when I saw the title of this post and was more than a little relieved when I opened it and saw the picture!
🙂 This aster is the only ‘snow flurry’ here so far, and hopefully for many weeks to come!
I can ‘dig’ this type of snow. Thanks for the chuckle.
This type of snow is indeed very manageable!
Yes I was worried too Sara despite the warnings that there is an arctic blast heading towards us. Thought that I might have to speed up somewhat with my pre winter preparations. What a eye-catching patch of whiteness – ‘Snow Flurries’ looks as if it provides great ground cover. Like it 🙂
It’s a lovely aster isn’t it? It gives good solid green ground cover most of the year, then in autumn it’s drenched in white flowers, I love it.
What is that aster? I saw some ground hugging ones at Pictons last week and have been thinking about getting one
This is A. ericoides f. prostratus ‘Snow Flurry’. If you hover your mouse over my pics, the title often gives more info. I fell for this at Wisley, and bought it a year ago – look how much it’s grown in a year! https://hillwards.wordpress.com/2011/10/12/making-space/
Darn, I was going to gloat about how maybe I lived in a milder climate after all.
Ah, then I led you down the garden path – with an aster! 🙂
